Introducing Kara Wright and Tien Tran
Combat veterans of an elite intelligence unit, now make their living as Private Investigators. Often working the mundane, just occasionally they get to use all their former training.
When siblings Zoe and Michael Sterling insist that their middle-aged parents have gone missing, Kara and Tien are at first sceptical and then quickly intrigued; the father, ex-intelligence analyst Chris Sterling, appears to be involved with an enigmatic Russian thug.
Using less than orthodox methods and the services of ex-colleagues with highly specialised talents, Wright & Tran take on the case. But the truth they uncover is far from simple and will shake Zoe and Michael as much as it will challenge Tien and anger Kara. An anger she can ill afford for she is being hunted by others for the killing of a street predator who chose the wrong prey.
The only constant in this darkening world is that nothing and no one can be taken at face value.
Reviews for Face Value
“Face Value, very different in theme to his first book, once again proves Andrew to be a versatile and gifted writer who delivers books that hold readers from beginning to end. With very well-constructed plots, Andrew delivers adrenalin and excitement laced with imaginative, innovative technology with memorable characters who provide heart and substance to his work.”

A good, fun read – recommended for Crime Fiction Fans
“I enjoyed this book – it was nice and pacey, the story was good, and there were some cool characters in there. Extra points for having some of the story based around my neck of the woods in Cambridgeshire – I liked the local references. All-in-all it bounced along at a fair clip and kept my interest… A good pick for fans of crime fiction!”
Patiently waiting for a sequel
“A roller coaster read… a mixture of modern tech, detective work and brute force will keep you till the end. I questioned how an author could swing from a science fiction/ parallel world thriller to a detective novel…. But was quickly impressed with this fast paced book filled with great characters. The ending….. was left open for a sequel !!! More like a pilot for an awesome TV series. With our TV guide now filled with CSI and spin offs this would be a refreshing twist for the small screen……. Look out !!!”
